Objective:

Design a complete 12-page magazine, including a cover, table of contents, editorial, three feature articles, and three ads, for a self-selected audience and subject.

Process:

The Modern Meeple was created for a demographic often overlooked by hobby media: grown-up nerds and board gamers now balancing careers, kids, and packed calendars. A consistent colour palette, typography, and thematic direction tied all twelve pages into one cohesive world, while column structure, pull quotes, and imagery were carefully balanced to support the reading experience rather than compete with it.
