Photography Based Craft Beer Branding
Objective:
To create a compelling beer brand for a local craft brewing company that would stand out on shelves and compete well in the crowded marketplace that is the craft beer economy.
Process:
A striking visual photographic based solution was developed. The brand was “Crown & Camp”, appealing to history enthusiasts. I took photos of myself in different sets of medieval garb to create a unique look for different flavours themed around local medieval groups to appeal to a group that drinks a lot of craft beer, has a lot of disposable income, and are very loyal customers once converted. The photos were edited to attain a more aged feel while retaining vibrance and being eye catching. A unique crenelated die line was chosen to mimic a castles battlements.

Photographic Magazine Ad Campaign Across Demographics
Objective:
Create multiple photography based ads for one company across magazines with differing demographics, with appropriate calls to action for each. Tip Top Tailors was the chosen brand for this project.
Process:
One model with wide demographic appeal was chosen to maintain consistency across the ad campaign. Each ad was designed uniquely with a different look and feel. For People magazine a minimal look emphasising affordability was chosen to target a younger age demographic and to promote the companies prom promotion. The focus was on being eye catching and simple. For Wired, a composite shot was created showing a man going from poorly dressed to looking professional with the emphasis on friendly staff that make purchasing clothes easy to attract a demographic of men that don’t particularly enjoy shopping. Focusing on the result.

Bilingual Sales Pamphlet Design
Objective:
Create a bilingual sales brochure that kept all of the colour content an exact match between the two languages, but have the correct amount of room for formating in both languages to save on excess printing costs. All pictures self taken and edited.
Process:
This project required focus on hierarchy and spacing to make sure all the text would have enough room for legibility in both English and French. The background colours also all had to pass accessibility checks with only black ink, as the only part that was unique in each print was the black text. All of the products had to be shot the same day with the same light, and cropped and colour corrected to work together in a harmonious set in the flier.

Photo Composite Movie Poster Design
Objective:
Create a visually dynamic poster for a fantasy sci-fi movie that doesn’t rely on an “A” list celebrity photo as it’s main engaging factor.
Process:
Many photos were gathered from different sources and had to be colour graded together in order to feel harmonious and unified in a scene. In order to merge the concepts of high fantasy and science fiction into a single theme I chose a cozy sod house photo and added a whimsical fantasy door, but then blended in a solar panel to suggest technology. Then layered lighting was designed to add depth and a sense of height to the background, with a nebula above the typographic logo to draw the eye back up to the movie title. The entire poster was designed with harmony and eye movement in mind.
